Colin Izumo Community Leader Las Vegas, NV

As the very first APA SPCA Community Leader for Southern Nevada, Colin Izumo is tasked with building the organization’s presence from the ground up, and he couldn’t be more excited about it!  Nevada’s economy has been hit hard by the national recession, and never has there been a greater need for the APA SPCA’s unique service.  Colin’s prior public service consisted of six years in the U.S. Air Force, followed by twelve years of toiling away for large multinational corporations. Colin holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii and a Master’s degree in Urban Leadership from UNLV.  He resides in West Summerlin with his awesome wife, who is an accomplished leader in the Clark County School District; and their two cats, Tenshi and Kinu.

One of Colin’s greatest accomplishments was breaking the APA SPCA 30-day fundraising record by getting over $2,200 in donations.  However, records are made to be broken.  Volunteer today and see if you’ll be the one to do it!
